This boutique store is inspired by the blissful and colorful themes of my country. Born and raised in Lima, Peru, I decided to bring a little bit of our bright colors to inspire you and bring happiness to your decor. During my tween years, my parents decided that it was time to live the American Dream. During my time in Peru, I never had the opportunity to travel or know more about my country. As an adult, I was able to travel and understand more about my culture. While backpacking through Peru, I met a variety of local artisans and I became obsessed with the color combinations they used on their wool pillows, also the intricacies of the piecing of soft Alpaca fur pillows and rugs. To put it simply, I fell in love with how every artisan was able to create astounding products by hand. Because of my love for textiles, we expanded our signature with different handmade products from around the world.

So, how did I come up with the name "Maco" Decor? It stands for Maida Costa which is my name. I always dreamed of having my business with my name included in it. I hope my fascination with textiles and materials inspires you to decorate your casa (home) with these hand-curated items (and some of them made by me) selected with you in mind. Each item is unique and one-of-a-kind.
